No time to brew? Try Iced Coffee by International Delight! #zombies

Ready for coffee or even coffee made for Zombies? How about Zombie themed food? Hope you have a fun National Coffee day with these recipes.

How do you brew? What is your favorite way to drink coffee? For the most part I like a hot steamy cup of coffee. There are times, in the afternoon when I want an iced coffee but will skip it because I'm too lazy to brew coffee, chill it and then drink it. That would take too much planning and who really has time for that?? I don't!

My 3 teens are also coffee drinkers. For the most part, they are iced coffee drinkers. A few month back I found International Delight's Iced Coffee on the end cap at my local grocery store. I picked one up thinking this would be an easy afternoon solution for me and something the girls could drink on the run.

Guess what? The iced coffee was such a hit that it is now a regular staple in our home. Just about the time we all got addicted to this coffee we were asked to have an International Delight's Iced Coffee Party to celebrate National Coffee Day! We love coffee and celebrate as if everyday is National Coffee Day but didn't turn down the chance to officially celebrate this day!

For the party we made {Kid Zombie} Iced Coffee Frappes, (Momma Zombie} White Russians and {Pumpkin Guts} Scones. We also purchased fun Halloween cookies from our local bakery. All was a huge hit amongst the teen and mom of teen crowd!

{Kid Zombie} Iced Coffee Frappes

1 cup International Delight Iced Coffee, any flavor

1/2 cup vanilla ice cream

1 teaspoon vanilla

Halloween sprinkles

Whipped cream

Caramel

Red icing or decorating gel

Combine first 3 ingredients in a blender and blend until thick or smooth.

Pour into glass and let the little zombies do the rest. Add whipped cream, caramel sprinkles and blood (decorating gel) and then drink! Serves 1.

{Momma Zombie} White Russians

1 cup International Delight Iced Coffee, any flavor

1/2 cup ice

1 ounce vodka

1 ounce coffee liqueur

Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. You can skip the blender and just give it a mix which is pictured above. Serves 1.

During our National Coffee Day discussions, we all agreed at how easy it is to use this cold coffee for drinks and in recipes. It is also handy to have in the house for the afternoon iced coffee drink! Everyone liked the coffee and we even converted one of the teens who normally NEVER drinks coffee! 

Here are some pictures that we took during the party! I realized after the fact that I took more of the coffee than of the actual people drinking the coffee! Oops! 

Anyhow my kitchen was set up by like a cafe and we had fun making drinks! We tried all the flavors and everyone had a favorite. We can't wait to see what other flavors International Delight creates. We all are hoping for seasonal choices like Pumpkin, Peppermint and Gingerbread.
